The layouts for my typebook for the typeface Baskerville. Its based on the Sherlock Holmes story “The Hound of the Baskervilles”. (I thought I was being pretty clever) I used excerpts from Sr Arthur Conan Doyle’s original text to display the typeface. The whole booklet was created using only the Baskerville typeface, including the hound’s skeleton.

So I’m doing this daily doodle thing with a few of my friends, and we can be found here! Have a look, some of these kids are really great! :)
(Okay yeah, I’m sort of bulk uploading, and I’m too daft to understand the queue. Sorry!)
I had a lot of fun doing this one. The lettering was done by hand with a regular ol’ black pen, and then live traced on illustrated. The watercolour effect was done on photoshop, because I’m so rubbish at doing it by hand. I should probably work on that.
